On the left here is my final product of the Film Magazine Front Cover. This was done using Photoshop and using some fonts from the website www.dafont.com
All of the aspects on this product have been influenced mainly through research into other film magazines where they have featured a up coming film. As well as the normal magazine layout and features such as the bar code, issue number, price and website.
The image in the background of this was taken prior to filming for the trailer so costumes and setting are both accurate to the setting of the film.
As for the fonts that I have used on this, I have tried to keep the fonts similar, with the exception to the film title. This is because the font for the film title has its own identity with it so having that in the same font would not be authentic.
As for this I have tried to conform to the norms of a similar working media product to achieve the best possible standard for my work.
On the right here is the Film Poster that I have made for my film 'Forest Massacre'. This still image was taken also before shooting so again the setting is accurate and true to the film. As for the production companies, I took into account the ident that our group had chosen to put before the film trailer, so therefore I put Lionsgate on there. As for the Miramax logo, I found that on a lot of other horror film posters there tends to be two productions companies names on there so this is why I added this in, for authenticity.
As for both of the above media products, I kept the same font throughout for the title of the film. I felt that this is important because every film has a particular font that suits the title of the film and therefore is always associated with that film. Therefore keeping the same font throughout helps to achieve this consistent house style.
As well as these, I also had to create a Film Trailer, which me and my group made a YouTube account and posted the trailer onto that website for public viewing. The link is as follows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49QXlvQi71g
